OCTOBER 2011 EUROPE TEMPERATURE FORECAST

A general warm-up is now on the way across the West this rest of week-early next week centered across the North Sea as high pressure settles there (UK, NW Continent and SW Scandinavia): we foresee temperature anomalies above 6 compared to normal.
This warm-up shall be broken by more low pressure activity coming from the Atlantic for a while although there are signs the high pressure shall again bring warm temperatures towards the middle-second half of October.
However, the end of the month shall see the first cold snap of the season.
Overall, this period shall be warm West, slightly cold East, mild South.
